If your organisation manages users in Microsoft Entra ID, you can use Contactzilla’s Microsoft Entra ID Importer to import those contacts directly into a Contactzilla address book.

Steps

1. Start Import: Select the address book > Click Import > Microsoft Entra ID.
2. Connection: Choose ‘Add New Connection’ and ‘Connect’. You will be redirected to Microsoft’s secure OAuth flow.
   Note: Admin consent may be required in Entra under Enterprise applications > Contactzilla Entra Import > Permissions.
3. Sync Settings: Enter your Tenant ID. Set sync frequency (Manual recommended for initial import) and enable ‘Sync now on update’.
4. Field Mapping: Map Entra attributes to Contactzilla fields.
   • Crucial: Map the unique Microsoft ID to a ‘Hidden Custom Unique Field’ for reliable identification in future syncs.
   • Map roles/groups to ‘Label’ fields if desired.
5. Delete Handling: Decide if you want to remove contacts in Contactzilla when they are disabled in Entra (using the accountEnabled column).
6. Duplicate Handling: Choose between Skip, Merge, or Replace (Replace is recommended when Entra is the source of truth).
7. Review: Monitor progress and view results in the address book.
